So yes, Ryanair ARE to blame here. They were not doing what the law requires them to do.
Well, stranded in that I was supposed to be on a bus to Florence that night, so not stranded at the airport. I had to track down a cab at midnight to take me to a b&b. I guess I don't think it's stranded in the severe sense that would require Ryanar accommodation, or even trying to track down someone with that authority in the middle of the night, since I still had somewhere to stay and public, albeit expensive, transportation was available. It all worked out, had a nice morning in Pisa anyway and met some nice people on the train over.
