A cousin of the Mrs. was married at the Venetian in/near St. Mark's square in the mall area and while it was a nice ceremony/lunch afterwards, I have to say that it was certainly not the most intimate gathering nor would I recommend it to somebody else. The officiant was hard to hear, tourists were busy gawking and taking photos (don't know why you'd want photos of somebody's else wedding for your vacation but whatever), and IIRC there was another couple set to use the square very shortly afterwards so timing was very harried. The whole effect was being at a wedding in a fishbowl. FWIW I have no idea what the budget or ballpark cost was either.
