Assuming OP's 20/9 flight is on CX/KA, miles should be credited about 22/9 or 23/9. OP can then immediately call MPC to reset the membership year. It should be done within a day, but the new membership year will end in September 2011.

However, as there is no official rule on this, CX can change this anytime.
