And how does one upgrade the companion first? Am traveling with a handicapped friend (no status) to LHR, me from DFW him from ORD we are meeting in ORD. I am PL my husband an EXP and he gave us 4 of his EVIPs to use on this trip. I did put in for upgrades immediately and the agent said there was no way to link our records, likely I would be upgraded and my friend not...am quite confused
