Seriously, if you are paying $35 to $65 a night over the priceline rate, and staying there for eighty eight nights a year, you are talking spending well over $3,000 to $5,000 more than you need to just to try to get status per year for several years. Diamond status is not worth anywhere near that amount, I'm sure you can find something better to spend the money on.
