Must be booked on NZ ticket stock, the type of upgrade requested must be valid for the fare and instrument used (standby or confirmed airbucks u/gs or status u/g vouchers), and you have to actually have the upgrade instrument at time of request. (Some programs allow requests to be made even if don't have the instrument at time of request as long as have them at time of processing, but NZ isn't one of them.)
