Are there any other disparate benefits for Plats vs. Saphs? Can Plats use FC lines on non-AA OW carriers..and what about other Saphs?</font>
PLTs are Saphs, there is a colour code on the card (small oval circle). Saphs on CX can check-in AND board in the F and J lines. The boarding part really helps as the Y line grows very very long, prior to boarding, but its still my favourite airline.
At LAX for AA, the check-in Kiosk area is seperated from the normal booking area. But the Kiosk section also has a roped off area that says "Economy Class", so it was confusing to find the F line (which wasn't there). Therefore the "ill-informed" AA staff at the Kiosks treated their pax as cabbages, not asking if anyone was of an elite status for checking in at the other section, which is blocked off by a narrow corridor. Before defending them, laziness is the culprit rather than they are not oblidged to do so.
Funny, my tix was Electronic but the Kiosk didn't care. "Go see an agent" it said. It obviously was much smarter than the AA staff, I think.
