I'm sure this has been asked before but I searched and can not find my answer so sorry in advance is answered before.

Does the Companion Certificate expiration date mean it has to be used before that date or does just the reservation have to be made before that date?

I have a certificate which has an expiration date of 10/31/10. I want to book a flight for sometime in December. Can I book now using the certificate and fly in December?
