I took a train from Shanghai to Beijing earlier this year and it was the most interesting part of my whole trip to China. I shared a sleeper cabin with some English speaing Chinese teenagers and hearing about there lives was fascinating.

I would love to get a train to some of the more remote parts of China, particularly the Tibetan plateau.
