Looking at the seating maps for an upcoming flight I am getting totally different live maps from EF and from LY's website.

Flight out is a 744 and we are currently booked in row 38 (there are 4 of us).
According to EF the vast majority of seats in front of us are currently unoccupied and a few rows showing as blocked (36, 25, and 21HJK for some reason) yet the seat map I get from LY is showing all these seats as occupied and so I'm unable to move us forward.

Return is on a 777 and the same story here as well.
I'm getting a totally different picture on LY than on EF.

Anyone got any ideas?

Also, anyone familiar with row 35 on the 744 which is in front of the WCs so last row of the front Y section? Any restriction there in terms of recline etc?
