You've got a full half hour between scheduled arrival of the 6am SEA-PDX and the departure of AS 30. That early in the morning there's not many reasons for delays, so I would call this a pretty safe connection.
Yeah, the AS gates can be bit of a hike from the QX gates, but it's still nothing like many other airports can be. 30 minutes early in the morning at PDX is a very doable connection.
Though I don't know why this is even being discussed. Beckoa seems to have missed the fact that the OP wants to start in BOS early, not end up there.
