I have not had problems bringing two co-workers in as guests at multiple clubs since AMEX Platinum cardholders started getting access to US clubs a few months ago. My experience has been the folks in the clubs were pretty knowledgeable regarding AMEX access; if you're denied this it should be pursued as it's probably a training issue.
