Never a problem. Asked in the lounge. Sometimes i just was escorted to the next security checkpoint and went downstairs. Sometimes i got a boarding pass zise piece of paper and showed this at the security checkpoint.
Did this in July on a long layover. No problems. The Wing staff didn't seem at all put off by my request.
