Recent experience with carry-ons [and sizer enforcement] at LHR

Because of past experiences, when they seemed to be somewhat insane about carry-on size and putting bags in the sizer at LHR, I started using a Travel Pro 19 for transiting LHR. On my last few trips, I didn't see anyone with a "reasonably" sized bag getting hassled, and I'm starting to think that I should go back to my B&R 22 (non-expandable) which does not call attention to itself, but if forced in the sizer, will stick out about a 1/2 inch on top. Just wondering what recent experience has been -- anyone been forced to put a "reasonable" looking roll-aboard in the sizer lately? Thanks.
