Leaving the luggage in the lounge and then leaving the airport is a big no no. The lounges are expressly told not to let people do this for obvious reasons. About 2 years ago we were cleared out of the CX lounge for this very reason and the person who left the luggage was eventually taken away by police for questioning.
What obvious reason would that be? You're inside the secure area - the luggage has been screened, and is, therefore, assumed safe. It makes no difference at all whether you are with it. The days of assuming that unescorted luggage was inherently more "risky" than escorted luggage are long gone.
Many other people have reported using the CX lounges to leave luggage in this way with no problem.
