Don't like "hydrate"? Start your own thread. It's certainly a buzzword, and overused, but in this case it's a perfect fit-succinct and accurate. And what's the alternative anyway?

Howzabout "I like to drink liquids to stave off dehydration (oops, variation)".

Mebbe "I enjoy keeping my bodily tissues well-moisturized, and so to the galley I traipse for a beverage designed to do exactly that."

"Wetter is better"?

OK, back OT. When I talk about liquid intake, I mean it. Last TATL, I went through 13 cans of club soda/ginger ale (one way). That's a lot of liquid to carry on, or a lot of trips to the galley, plus lavs.

So it'll be a multi-pronged approach.
