It doesn't seem to exist anymore, but I used to wonder how many miles you'd get if you flew the entire UA3 route, ORD-HNL-KOA-ORD. None? I flew it, but spread over two weeks.
While NOU-SYD-RUN-CDG is longer than AKL-LAX-LHR, AKL-LHR (via either LAX or HKG) is longer than NOU-CDG.

ORD-ORD reminds me of ADL-ADL I took a few years ago - one of the Antarctica flightseeing flights.
