I'm platinum on AA and have been for many years. I always sit in an Exit Row Aisle on the 767 and MD80. Have asked for extension before and never been denied or moved. But this week UA posted a special notice saying that anyone needing an extension may not sit in an Exit Row. This may be buried somewhere in DOT regulations. Noting that AC is a *Alliance partner, seems likely there may a carryover to other partners. I just don't want to be placed in an embarrassing situation or, worst of all, end up in a middle seat on a 767. I've checked seatguru.com for this aircraft and I have snagged one of the few excellent seat choices on this aircraft and have paid my $75 to the company.
God help me if something goes amiss. I certainly appreciate everyone's feedback on this issue. Thank you neighbors!!!!
