I've been going to the Sheaf since I was about 16 (went to school just up the road, and on the odd occassion even went there for lunch in school uniform), but it's changed a fair bit in the last 18 months. On a Saturday night it has, unfortnately, stolen much of the above mentioned Establishment/Ivy custom. I was coming back from Canberra a few weeks ago and there was a billboard advertising the Sheaf at the junction of the M5 and M7, down in South West Sydney, which does explain a lot.
