I was at home packing my bags watching it all unfold on the TV.
I was flying LHR-JNB-LLW that evening, T4 was earily quiet with all the transatlantic traffic being halted. JNB flight was delayed a couple of hours resulting in missing my connection in Joburg the next morning. Got put up in the Holiday Inn with many US passengers trying to leave JNB who did not know when they might get home. All very surreal.
Travel was never the same afterwards, but would never stop me travelling.
