Thanks guys for clarifying this for me! I'm looking to do at least one international MR this fall and maybe a trip across the pond to London, since I have never been there.

I have a good amount of RDMs in my account and I'm thinking about going to Japan sometime this fall as well, and would like to try to fly it in Business Class in at least one direction. I have done it on Delta's BE which was nice and comfortable on my way to BKK through NRT, so I'm wondering about United's service for International Business. Any suggestions on routings where I would have a decent chance to clear into Business with miles upgrade? I know that I can either go direct from IAD, through ORD, SFO, or LAX.

I'm assuming that when looking through expert mode or ExpertFlyer, for inventory am I looking at NC, C, or both? That's the only thing I'm still a little fuzzy about.
