Some info for the curious...

I was already AA Platinum and just received a "Congratulations on Achieving 2 Million Miles" packet in the mail.

Contrary to some other posts, it does contain two plastic Platinum luggage tags. Also a new Platinum card with "2 Million Miles" imprinted on it and 4 VIP03s (systemwide one-way one class of service upgrades) which expire 5/31/04.

This level is described in the packet as follows:

"And, your new multi-million miler status entitles you to at least AAdvantage Platinum for the life of the Platinum program."
