So, the HKIA express (train) and buses continue to run under typhoon signals along with near regular flight operations? Takeoffs (and landings for that matter) must be really bumpy with turbulence until planes can climb higher or reach their initial cruising attitudes - I can imagine bad delays or cancellations for departure especially when inbound flights might be diverted or held at other airports until the typoon has passed ??

We are flying next Tuesday into HKG and looking at weather outlook, it's daily thunderstorms only for the next 8 to 10 days, thank goddness - no typhoon watch (yet) ....
