You could do AA to MAD then take IB to BCN. The MAD-BCN flight is just 50 mins and you could even buy a "puente aereo" (aka shuttle) ticket which lets you go at any hour that you arrive at the airport. These generally run 200€ roundtrip. On the MAD-BCN flight there is no 1st cls. just business as described above
