(new to FT, apologies if there is a better place for this question)

Planning a 10-12 month stay in Buenos Aires in 2011, and trying to figure out the best ticket options...I will leave around the first of Feb, and probably return in December 2011 sometime. (I might come back home-BOS or BDL- in the middle, but not sure yet).

How far in advance should I try to get my tickets for the best deal? Right now, it seems like many sites/airlines won't let me book a flight for Dec '11....Also, there are some decent deals floating around for New York-EZE, but most have restrictions on the maximum stay (usually three months)...any way I can try to take advantage of these?

Finally, any tips on best route BOS/BDL-EZE (would rather not have to fly out of JFK)?
