In my decades of flying long haul internationally I have taken a shower at the airport a grand total of ONCE,its just not something that I do, so I defer to your judgement on that one. Regarding IFE, I do not know of anyother airline that has gone for permanently wired headphones, it was an absolutely stupid idea, and can be circumvented with ones own headphones if one has the proper splitter (the back up 50 cent crappy ones they try to give you if the headphones are out are just ridiculously pathetic (yes I know they are the Y phones). Regarding reliability of the system(s). Its all relative. No airline is perfect on the reliabilty, however at least on DL and most other carriers they will try to proactively try to fix things and reset the system, while with AF one has to fight to get them to do it, this is neither here nor there however if you are stuck with one of the older AF IFE systems which are pretty bad. Regarding KE, who you mention above, they do have great eyeshades and the like, however it is not quite as proactive as you say as on many flights that I have had with them, they pass them out in trays or on the 74's leave them out and displayed. Sorry but I find a bottle of tonic and cleanser with some cotton pads left in the bathroom to be cheap looking and most women would prefer their own small bottles (don't tell me about AF being green, they are just being cheap as they are with their food and their drink selection, it amazes me that Asian airlines can have exponentially better French wine selections and quantities than AF!!??) Perhaps I'm flying EY too much lately, but I am constantly shocked at how poor the AF product is.
