It is enforced on ALL airlines. This is a basic rule of airfare pricing. You cannot miss any segment or your ticket is cancelled and you are even liable for extra payment. You can skip the last segment, for obious reasons, but that is illegal too and could be subject to repricing, but that is rarely enforced.
