+1 for France. Annecy is great and very close to GVA. Chamonix is also very nice...and the many small towns between the two. you could easily cross over into northern Italy...to Courmeyeur, Aosta, etc. this is a beautiful corner of europe.

Well Geneva is right on the border of France, so it should seem obvious you should visit France. It's not far to Burgundy. If you like wine, you must visit there. Also the beautiful French mountain cities such as Annecy, Evian-les-Bains, Chambery, etc. If you don't want to drive, take the train to Lyon for some of the finest dining in the world.
