It's because you had an outbound flight selected, combined with the £240 return flight. You then (presumably) hit "day later" or "day earlier", and it simply adjusted the price, but did so without altering the price of the return flight, which got cheaper, but the lower price only being releflected in the (much) lower outbound price. If that makes any sense...
