I'll second that any day. Definitely no point in moving closer to the airport for the last night, especially as the airport is close to the city centre and in the morning all traffic heads to the city instead of the opposite direction.

My hotel choice is different though, as I prefer the Swissotel Merchant Court at Clarke Quay or the Concorde on Orchard (if you get a Premier room you have 2 hrs of free booze between 6-8 pm each day).
