I have to admit I'm not 100% sure what version(s) might be available to persons in non-US countries. When you log in to your online account, you should be able to see which version was given to you. You can always call MR to find out as well.
As for your "10 nights credit", the answer to your question is neither. The 10 nights is only a credit to your nights stayed. So no extra points and no "free" stays. But if you think you are going to stay 65 nights this year, those extra 10 nights will get you to 75 and Plat status. Or if you think you may be staying 40 nights this year, the 10 extra night credits will put you at 50 nights for the year and get you Gold status.
