Simplest customer-facing plan:
- Start at the front
- Ask each passenger for their two choices of meal, in order of preference
- Use manifest to determine priority of orders (Paid F/J, the Medallions in descending order)
- Issue orders per priority list
Yes, I realize that this equates to more work for the FA team and it requires knowing both the Medallion status and fare class purchased, which is not presently the level of information shown on DL manifests.
As an alternative, DL could use a system similar to that UA uses and issue manifests with *** codes:
- 5*: Paid F/J
- 4*: DM
- 3*: PM/ST E+
- 2*: GM
- 1*: FO/ST E
- 0*: no status
