My experience is that FAs are becoming more consistent with service front to back regardless of the last digit of the flight number. Twice recently I have been on odd numbered flights sitting in the last row of F and have been last to be served. And both times, there was only one entree left (turkey on ciabatta). I asked one FA if she ever started from the back, and her answer was "yes, but not today." I did get a kick out of her pronouncing ciabatta "cheeah-bada" (like chia pet).

I wrote to Delta a few days ago to ask if FEBO really is the policy, and I'm still waiting for their reply.
