Wow, that's interesting. MSP is still somewhat expensive to fly to on WN, atleast from the east coast. Without BWI, everyone from the east coast has to go through MDW or STL.

I suppose prior to WN servicing MDW-MSP, routes between MSP-Chicago were just hub-city, with the service intended more for business travelers..who will pay high fares, and international connections, with little intention to stimulate demand by luring in VFR/leisure, by offering a sale or low fare between the two cities.
