Your saying is unprofessional or foolish to allow one employee to screw over 180+ other people?

If he doesn't want to fly fine, they should have someone availabe to fly.

What if he got run over by a car the next day, then AC would cancel all the flights he was supposed to be flying? I don't think so, they would bring in another pilot to replace him.

This is not some hick town in a 3rd world country, where there is only two pilots, this is Las Vegas.

What is unprofessional and foolish is to cancel a flight with no notice to the passengers and try to put us in some crappy motel as far away from the strip as possible.

They didn't even try to rebook anyone on other airlines

I'm frankly stunned at the naivete of the OPs suggestion. An aircraft is not your living room, no matter how much the airlines try to make it that "comfy" in the back for those of us just along for the ride.

I am also not a pilot, but know enough to realize it's often much busier up front than we might think.

Lastly, I'll take an extra night ANYWHERE, even at MY cost, ANYTIME, rather than a fatigued crew. My life is in their hands, literally.
