But Switzerland is very expensive, and the USD/CHF ratio close to historical lows, so any airfare savings will be wiped out within days! If budget is a consideration, taking advantage of the weak Euro might be a better idea.
I agree. It will be expensive in the long run--- but if you get good weather it is a beautiful city and area. In particular I would drive up the Swiss side of the lake. There are a number of beautiful towns and restaurants .... all the way up to Montreux. The Fairmont Montreux Palace at times has very good rates if you plan ahead. Definitely visit the farmers markets as well.
