Well, my last several AA flights have been on time or early.

Even pulled off a JFK-SFO departure, where we were 10 minutes from push back to wheels up. We were projecting an early arrival.

Then we vectored into SFO on a warm and sunny day, and arrived officially 1 minute late. So what can you do?
