And the Colgan/BUF incident has ZERO to do with the topic at hand. I am quite informed on what happened in that incident and I certainly have sympathy for the families of the victims. That doesn't change the fact that flying is still safer than driving and that the crash outside BUF would not have changed in any material way if the FDR data was being streamed and stored off the airplane rather than in a box on the airplane.

Call me anything you want, but at least I'm trying to stay on topic.
