It's the principle. Those in a cabin above WHY are there either because they have paid for it (either with dollars, pounds, points, whatever) or because the airline has stuffed up and needs to move people forward.

One of the benefits of a premium cabin is the exclusivity of the cabin, you do not get people coming and going all the time.

Allowing people to swap seats undermines the exclusivity of the cabin.

In some cases, VIP's and celebrities pay the extra to fly in a premium cabin for no other reason than to ensure this exclusivity.

I personally pay (out of my own pocket) to fly in cabins above WHY, because I like the privacy and lack of movement in the cabin.

If it was to become a free for all for people to swap seats with friends in WHY as and when they please, then I would stop paying for premium cabins.

In short, it is either allowed, or it isn't. If it is allowed, then it undermines the product for those who have paid for the higher cabin. If it isn't allowerd, then it shouldn't be happening at all.
