Most of the Hyatt clubs I've seen are pretty disappointing compared to what the compatition has to offer, especially with regard to breakfast. Clubs at IC (my main reference point) beat Hyatt pretty much every time, whether it's a direct comparison of international flagship properties (the club at IC HK beats GH HK by a mile) or domestic (IC SF vs GH or HR). IC club is a rather different offering which as you noted is often not complimentary even for RAs and costs significantly more to book. I believe internationally they also serve full meals vs Hyatt where it is more of gathering place with lighter lounge snacks.
On average I'll take Hyatt lounge food over SPG or HH properties ones any day though.
