How about the following (and I note, not applicable in the OP's case, but consider it anyway).

J pax has several glasses (well, actually, more than a bottle) of an extremely good wine, and is then ready for sleep J pax can sleep standing up, so retires to the WHY seat. Their partner, travelling in WHY, then moves to the J cabin, and also drinks quite a few glasses (well, more than a bottle) of the same wine, and then goes to sleep.

The benefits of the J cabin have only been consumed by one person at a time (your criteria for acceptability), but the two, between them, have consumed more than one person is ordinarily capable of consuming - and potentially depriving other J pax of the benefit (because they might have run out of that particular wine, which wouldn't have happened if the Y pax had stayed in their cabin).
