If you're looking for an inexpensive get away stay, the price is certainly right, especially since the 90 minute presentation should not be a hard pitch sell ( I say this based upon most Marriott sales reps -- there's always the exception

). So you get educated in things Marriott, the 90 minutes pass quickly, and you get on with your holiday stay. And the Playa Andaluza is a wonderful place.
I'm a bit surprised that Marriott is not offering to put you up at the Playa Andaluza resort itself ( what time of year is the offer good for ? ). The Crown Plaza is perhaps 1 mile up the road from Playa Andaluza resort and all of 3 minutes away in terms of your getting into the resort to enjoy the place. Are they promoting the Marriott Vacation Club ( purchase a timeshare week ) or is the promotion for the Destination Club ( which is a points based system with no dedicated timeshare week needed ).
In either case, it's a fair offer by Marriott, the region is fantastic and flights into Malaga are a breeze and the resort is perhaps a 35 minute drive along the coast -- and you don't have to buy anything. So I'd say that the Marriott offer is a good way to take a short break and enjoy the food and the sights Costa del Sol has to offer. ( we own at the Playa Andaluza resort ).
This link takes you to some photos of the resort which gives an idea about the resort and the region.
