A colleague of mine is due to fly in to LHR and then on to GLA with a large amount of cash to purchase a classic car. Some of the funds will be paid by bank transfer but there will also be a large cash deposit probably around £8k.

As he will have to clear T5 security - is there any limit on the amount of cash that can be carried through? Does he need any other supporting paperwork for what the cash is for etc?
