Depends on your connecting airline (If you're Star Alliance, is it Air Europa or Spanair? or Swiss?). 45 minutes is really iffy - BCN isn't that big, but there are two terminals and if you've got to clear immigration (or customs - Switzerland is now a Schengen country), it could be a problem.
