Sweetness I regularly hear this term spouted at a certAAin AAirlines - but that is fine they can say what they like - I use disembark. Why not? Everything on board uses sea terminology - we only stopped using pot and starboard as no one knew what we were talking about. I recall saying "starboard" once and some silly preppy girls flung into "Klingons on the Starboard Bow" and I got the giggles.

Now I have boarded twice by right hand doors as a passenger - the one I recall - the other has faded from memory - was an AA MD11 on the morning flight to London from JFK. It was actually quite confusing to most people. I had to turn right to get to First Class. The crew were lovely I do recall. I will tell the Capt the reason is that they get to oggle pretty girls. From a 747-400 that could prove difficult but never mind
