Unfortunately, when I try to open a URL from within KVS, it creates a local file, inaccessible from outside the VM, that redirects to the URL, and points the default browser at that. It looks like VMWare Tools (or Windows?) realizes the URL is local and opens Firefox inside the VM instead of Firefox outside the VM.
Does anyone have a workaround for this? I'd really like to not have to use Firefox inside the VM. It would be nice if the KVS tool opened the URL directly, instead of using a level of redirection.
Sounds like you need to make the Windows TEMP directory a Host/Guest Shared Folder & set-up an association for .HTM files, as described at
