Morning, Box. Still residual soreness, and the multifaceted pile of stuff to do is still frightening. T-4 till the first day of school.

Fingers crossed for sister #2, flying CAK-PHL-ISP on US tomorrow afternoon, and tjtenor4, flying IAD-CLE-LGA on CO tomorrow night. Thankfully, neither of them is on a tight schedule, and if either gets stuck in the layover city overnight, they can have my parents or me to the rescue.

Sister #1 is going LGA-STL on AA tonight and really can't afford to be delayed (the flight is to be followed by a multi-hour drive), but I think she'll be OK.

I need either a massive trip like that or a couple smaller ones to grind out the end of 100K. Too bad I have no more unspoken-for 2-day weekends remaining in 2010. Thankfully, I'm free basically the entire week before Thanksgiving week (Nov 14-21) due to exams, so ideally I can spend much of that putting together something on UA (gotta use those vouchers) that hopefully won't be TOO painful...

I particularly remember Pan Am 103 because I had flown Pan Am 101 about two weeks earlier with the parents. I was 6, and didn't exactly remember all my flight numbers, but that one had stuck for some reason.

I definitely wouldn't consider my job a "physically active" one, but I am very thankful at least that it doesn't entirely consist of sitting at a desk/computer all day.

I have never heard of this! I guess I'll have to invoke it in the future if tjtenor4 ever grumbles about my going out.

Interesting. I actually liked the look of the previous nano, too (though you're right, it'll be nice to have the clip). I've been thinking about replacing my FIRST generation nano, but it's pretty low on the priority list. Maybe some now-obsolete ones in good condition will show up on ebay for cheap.

YIKES! Car accidents are awful. So sorry to hear that.

Agreed. I collapsed in pain almost 2 years after my accident - completely inexplicably - and eventually they figured out that I had a disc bulge between two of my lowermost vertebrae due to the force of the collision (the car hit me, not my car - I was outside it at the time). The spine is a very weird thing.

So, does that make me:
A.) The envy of every guy in teh box. And need a wheelbarrow to haul those stones around.
B.) A complete and total idiot that has no idea what kind of trouble is brewing.
C.) Mike_Asia with a fake log-in
HAHAHA. Why not? I knew tjtenor4's most significant ex before he did, and we've always been friends. She was also in the choir in which he and I originally met, and as such is at least a strong possibility for the wedding guest list, depending on family numbers (and I think that was my idea originally...)

OMG...glad to hear she's all right. Good for her for being smart on the road and not ending up a victim.

So sorry to hear that. Ouch. Are the fingers taped/in a splint now?
