If the double bed request is on the reservation as a Diamond member that is what you will be guaranteed as that is your preference. While the reservation agent may have only been able to book a king the front desk is required to go by your stated preference of the double beds. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
Thanks for the info, that's an interesting little bit. Although, it does seem to conflict the actual wording of the policy, but then again, those often seem open to interpretation. I appreaciate the help either way.
Ultimatelly, this has become a non-issue for me, since I saw that a double/double opened up, called reservations and changed the room type (so now both the preference and the reservation match, so I don't have to worry about what actually happens on check-in).
