I'm not overly concerned. There was a big hype like this when hurricane Bill came by last year and nothing ended up happening. I plan on securing all my stuff outside. I'm scheduled to work Saturday, around the time it's meant to make land fall. I see no reason why I won't make it to work.
I was in Nova Scotia visiting family when Juan came ashore. People seemed very complacent and just shrugged it off. They were caught off guard.
I was on Briar Island whale watching and as a precaution made my way to the fortress of the Digby Pines to wait out the storm.
The damage to the trees. My relatives had property to the south of Halifax and lost all their old trees. They now are watching Earl approach. !!!
