I received a 20% off Ecertificate for any UA itin for a recent IRROPS debacle. I am looking to book a trip JFK-NCE, where the overwater portion of both directions will be on UA, and there will just be a short connector flight on LH from LHR or AMS to NCE to complete the route. When I try to apply this certificate online, it applies to all routings no matter what carrier they are on, even if the entire trip is on LH. However, my routing was a bit complex, and I needed to grab the last 2 seats via a 1K agent, and then was sent over to 1K web support. They quoted the rules of the Ecert, and would not allow me to apply it to the routing, since there was another carrier on the itin. Is there ANY way to apply ANY discount to this itin, as UA doesn't fly to many places without requiring a *A connection at the end...
